Baskets to Market Manila was my introduction to a huge city of 6 million, with vehicles powered by diesel. Took about 2 hours by taxi through the city, then through the country side eventually to Angeles City where I met the other cousin. A very pleasant time meeting Filipinos and other foreigners, eating various foods ; and being given the grand tour when the cousin not engaged in the Hotel’s business. Spent 10 days in each of Balibago, Baguio (a cooler city in the mountains 155 miles/250 km north of Manila : used by its’ more affluent residents)
