July 1967 at CYQD/The Pas, Manitoba . Was converted following WWII for trans-Atlantic passenger travel. Has Rolls Royce Merlin in-line engines. Winston Churchill not in this one for his WWII flight to Canada . Started operations with TransAir Ltd. in September 1956 and flew freight for the airline for building the DEW line along Canada’s Arctic coast close to 72nd parallel . Withdrawn from use Dec. 1962. Kept in storage at CYQD,Manitoba.
